Links for the week of December 8th, 2009

If you want to follow my shared links in real time instead of as a weekly digest, head over to Delicious. You can search them there easily too.

  • One Million Years of Isolation – A long semi-technical interview with one of the architects of Yucca Mountain. Building for a one million year timespan sounds like a fools errand to me. Surely humans will dig up all those precious actinides much earlier. Anyway, cool project, in theory.
  • Breakthrough Education in a Digital Age – Google held a conference on technology and education, and released these videos of the talks. Could be interesting, but almost all of the speakers look too old to really understand technology…
  • The Same-Sex Marriage debate, greatly simplified – A flowchart graphically depicting the gay marriage debate.
